Together for a Clean and Accessible Trail Along the Buna River: Fly Fishing School in Action!
Students of the fly fishing school, organized by the association Novi Val Blagaj in partnership and with logistical support from USR “Neretva 1933”, spent the past weekend engaged in dedicated teamwork — working on the restoration of the fly fishing trail along the Buna River. Together with volunteers and trainers, they demonstrated the true blend of sport, education, and love for nature.
During this ecological action:
A 300-meter-long stretch of the trail was cleaned of plastic waste — 11 bags with a capacity of 240 liters were collected!
Additionally, 1,000 m² of underbrush and accumulated vegetation was removed, significantly contributing to the preservation of the natural beauty of the Buna riverbank, as well as improving access for all fly fishing and nature enthusiasts.
The activities will continue — next up is trimming and further shoreline maintenance, because our goal is clear: a clean and healthy Buna River!
