Karate Club Blagaj Wins 2nd Place Overall at the International Tournament in Velenje

With great pride, we inform the public that Karate klub Blagaj achieved an outstanding result at the international karate tournament held in Velenje (Slovenija). From this international competition in Velenje, excellent news is arriving to Bosna i Hercegovina, Mostar, and Blagaj.

Our competitors, together with their coaches, proudly represented our city at one of the strongest international tournaments, where they demonstrated fighting spirit, discipline, and unity built over many years.

Competing among more than 63 clubs from 11 countries and over 600 athletes, Karate Club “Blagaj” won 2nd place in the overall standings, once again confirming the quality and dedicated work carried out with young athletes.

In addition to the team success, the club’s competitors achieved remarkable individual results, winning a total of 15 medals: 7 gold, 1 silver, and 7 bronze medals.

This success is the result of the continuous and professional work of coaches Zlata Mustafić and Kenan Šarić, whose dedication, expertise, and commitment to the development of children and young athletes produce visible and valuable results. Their work is reflected not only in sporting achievements, but also in building discipline, self-confidence, and sportsmanship among younger generations.

With this achievement, Karate Club “Blagaj” has worthily represented the City of Mostar and Bosnia and Herzegovina on the international sports stage.
