In Focus of the Session: Dubbing Technique and Hands-on Practice

At today’s session, participants learned how to make dubbing—one of the key elements in fly tying that imitates the body of an insect. Through hands-on practice, they became familiar with different types of materials, methods of preparation, and proper techniques for wrapping them onto the hook. With guidance from the instructor, the children independently created their own flies, developing precision, patience, and creativity along the way.

At the end of the session, a short presentation followed, where participants proudly showcased their work, shared impressions, and exchanged newly learned techniques with others. The atmosphere was filled with satisfaction and motivation for further learning and improvement.

This activity was carried out as part of the “United for Rivers” initiative, which brings together organizations and communities across Southeast Europe with the goal of protecting and preserving our rivers.
