“The citizens of Nevesinje have launched an online petition against the construction of solar power plants.”

More than 1,360 citizens have signed a petition against the construction of solar power plants on agricultural land in Nevesinje, and the fight continues online.

Just at the Nevesinje town square over the weekend, 1,360 residents signed a petition against the construction of solar power plants on agricultural land, in populated areas, and in water protection zones. However, this number is not final, as in the previous days the initiators of this initiative — a group of citizens and farmers — visited several settlements in the municipality, where they also collected signatures, reports Direkt portal.

As we have learned, their plan in the continued fight to preserve agricultural land is to send the citizens’ signatures to the addresses of the Municipality of Nevesinje, the relevant ministries, and the Government of Republika Srpska.
