Eko HUB BLAGAJ/Novi Val held a cleaning action in the area of Bunski Kanali.
Eko HUB Blagaj, coordinated by the Youth Club Novi Val, held a cleaning action on November 26, 2022 (Saturday) starting at 10:00 AM in the area of Bunski Kanali.
This local initiative was conducted in collaboration with students from the United World College in Mostar (UWC Mostar) and the ecological association “Majski Cvijet.”
During this action at Bunski Kanali, a total of 42 bags of waste were collected, with 25 participants contributing to this local initiative and helping protect this geomorphological phenomenon from waste.
Bunski Kanali is located south of Mostar along the M-17 main road from Mostar to Čapljina. In its 230-kilometer flow, the Neretva River has created a series of beautiful landscapes, but many believe that the site south of Mostar at the confluence of the Buna River represents the greatest value due to its water volume and scenery.
All participants received the necessary equipment for the action, including food and refreshments.
Eko HUB Blagaj, coordinated by the Youth Club Novi Val Blagaj, was launched as part of the project “Think About Nature!” implemented by the Center for the Promotion of Civil Society and financially supported by Sweden.
