The seminar was held at the restaurant Bunski Biser in Blagaj.

The Eco HUB Blagaj, coordinated by the Youth Club Novi Val, held a seminar with 5 local communities (Nevesinje, Ljubinje, Čapljina, Stolac, Blagaj) on November 17, 2022 (Thursday) starting at 10:00 AM.

The seminar took place at the restaurant Bunski Biser in Blagaj.

At this seminar, a lecture was presented on the topic “Protection of Rivers in the Herzegovina Area,” delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Sanel Riđanović.

The seminar was attended by the ecological association “Lijepa naša” from Čapljina, the Municipality of Ljubinje, nature protection activists from the Sarajevo Municipality, as well as representatives from the local communities of Stolac and Nevesinje.

The goal of this seminar was to inform citizens about the current state of rivers in Herzegovina. Due to the construction of a large number of hydropower plants on our rivers, there is a danger that we will lose our greatest natural treasures. The water and rivers of Herzegovina are a shared good for us and the generations to come.

The Eco HUB Blagaj, coordinated by the Youth Club Novi Val Blagaj, was launched as part of the project “Think About Nature!” implemented by the Center for the Promotion of Civil Society and financially supported by Sweden.
